Susanoo-no-Mikoto = Susanoo	Storm kami	—	Breaks the rice paddies and defiles the weaving hall; is exiled, then kills the eight-forked serpent of Koshi and finds in its tail the blade Chamberlain renders as the Herb-Quelling Great Sword, later called Kusanagi.
Tsukuyomi no Mikoto = Tsukuyomi	Ruler of the night	—	Born from the washing of Izanagi's right eye and assigned the domain of night, with no narrative afterwards.
Yamata-no-Orochi	Eight-forked serpent	—	Devours seven daughters in as many years; killed by Susanoo with eight vats of strong sake.
